- AniScr
-
-
- AniScr 1.1 is a screen saver for Windows 3.1. AniScr
- displays a selected Animator Flic and plays a selected
- wave sound file after no keyboard or mouse activity
- occurs for a specified amount of time. AniScr can be
- set to play the wave file once or to repeated play the
- wave file after a specified duration has elapsed.
-
- As with most (all?) screen savers, AniScr serves no
- real purpose but to entertain. AniScr can play any flic
- file (.FLI or .FLC) and any wave file (.WAV) you
- desire. Hundreds are available on computer Bulletin
- Board Services (BBSs) and through on-line services like
- America Online and Compuserve. You can create your own
- Animator Flics using Autodesk's Multimedia Explorer or
- Animator Pro programs as well as with many other
- programs from other companies. You can record your own
- wave files with the proper hardware and software.

- Installing the Animation Player for Windows
-
-
- AniScr requires the Autodesk Animation Player for
- . The Animation Player for Windows is a freely Windows
- available program and is included with AniScr in an
- archive file called AAWIN.ZIP.
-
- To install the Animation Player, format a 720K or
- larger floppy disk in drive A: and unpack all of the
- files from AAWIN.ZIP onto the floppy disk by using the
- following command:
-
- PKUNZIP -d aawin A:
-
- .EXE is a product of PKWare PKUNZIP and is not included
- with AniScr.
-
- The "-d" option causes PKUNZIP to reproduce the
- directory structure on the floppy. After executing the
- above command, the floppy should contain the following
- files:
-
- \3AAPLAY1.DID
- \AAPLAY.DLL
- \AASETUP.EXE
- \AAVGA.DLL
- \INSTALL.EX$
- \INSTALL.INS
- \MCIAAP.DRV
- \OEMSETUP.INF
- \AAWIN\AAPLAY.H
- \AAWIN\AAPLAY.LIB
- \AAWIN\AAPLDEV.DOC
- \AAWIN\AAWIN.EXE
- \AAWIN\AAWIN.HLP
- \AAWIN\AAWIN.ICO
-
- Leave the floppy in A: and select the Run Option of the
- File Menu from Windows Program Manager. Type
